Anyone Else Ever Been In A Tournament?

I've never been in one, but in Holland, evryone played Yu-Gi-Oh one month and then it was over, so nobody plays Yu-GiOh in hollend...
I'm almost the only one...

I've been in many tournaments both local and regionals. As the list of banned cards you are talking about when Monster Reborn is forbidden is traditional. Currently Monster Reborn is legal now in The Advance Format.

ive only been in 1 tornament intexas i mostly use warriors and dragons but with a few fiends and spellcasters my fav cards i use the most are black luster soldier,gerfried the swordmaster, and dark magician though i mostly sacrice my weaker warriors to summon them its a good deal i got it all for 35 bucks in U.S currency (with a few other cards im too lazy to mention right now.).

Great Guys So What Places Did You Come In The Tournaments?

I never do amazing in the regionals but I usually keep a steady place of the 50's out of about 150 - 180 people.

Local tournaments I do anywhere from 1st place to 4th or 5th. I haven't been investing all that much in yugoih these days though so the 4th and 5th places are more of my average, but I still do pretty good considering I play against the top decks in the format.

I Came 12th In The London Regional In Which 600 People Took Place Thats My Best Achievement.

In Canada There Aren't Many Proper Tournaments But I Won My School Tournament With 30 People In, I Use A Marik Reconstruction Deck Including Ra And x3 Revival Jam.

i use that warriors deck that has gerfried the swordmaster,gilford the legend and i traded a blue eyes 4 black luster soldeir and ritual

well i got some dragons too my only few that arent warriors are
( from weakest to strongest)

2. red eyes black dragon
3.komori dragon
4. blackland firedragon
5.luster dragon

6.luster dragon #2(the green one with emarld on its back)
and a blue eyes white dragon and es i only have one blues eyes i think its a waste to have three beacause summoning a blue eyes utimate get repeative

Keep An Open Mind In Some Countries They Don't/Rarely Have Official Tournaments.

oh i use the reinforcement of the army cards so i can instanley summon warriors on the field see i just summon maruadrateing capt. who has a effect to summon a lvl 4 or lower monster to the field and i summon usualyy a wite ninja or a dark blade but i alsop use trap hole alot and magic jammer

You Don't Have Many Cards That Support Your Strategie Or Support That Certain Technique Like Sages Stone,Dark Magic Curtain,Dark Magic Attack,The Warrior Returning Alive Or Phoenix Blade - Enforcer.

i do have phoinex blade and warrior returning alive thy just dont play a big deal in my deck see my monsters are ussualy level 4 who have 16oo ATK,1700 ATK,1800ATK, 1900 ATK, and my obnxois celtic guardian is one of my faviote cards to play espically when i make his attack points go over 1900 so he is almost indestructable

I place 1st-3rd in my Hobby Leagues. Only once have I been in a Shonen Jump and I lost in the 2nd duel. (Dang my overly powerful Synchros! You've done nothing to help me!)

As you can see, I rely on Synchros a lot, but having Cyber Dragon, Proto-Cyber Dragon, Overload Fusion, Chimeratech OverDragon, and Chimeratech Fortress Dragon helps a real deal in many duels.

Strategy without Synchros:

Summon monsters while keeping Cyber and Proto-Cyber at bay.

Wait till mine and opponent's field is full of monsters and activate DNA Surgery after summoning either Proto or Cyber, choosing either to make all monsters on the field Machine types.

Use "Every" monster on the field, that includes My Opponent's monsters, to use as Fusion materials to fusion summon Chimeratech Fortress Dragon. (CFD doesn't need Polymerization to be fusion summoned. The effect also states that I can use either player's monsters to use as fusion materials.)

For every machine type monster used as a fusion material monster for CFD, it gains attack points for each monster x1000. (If all goes well, this is where the duel ends. The opponent has no monsters, and if the opponent and I have enough cards to equal over or equal to 8, CFD gains 8000-10,000 atk points.)

Optional if all doesn't go well:

If CFD is destroyed, activate Overload Fusion and use every fusion material monster used to make CFD (Including opponent's) to summon another Cyber-dragon fusion.

Use this to summon Chimeratech Over Dragon. (COD gains atk points equal to the amount of fusion materials used x800. Also, for all of the materials used, COD is able to attack once for each. So if 10 monsters were used, that means 8000 atk attacking 10 times. 80,000 atk overall.)

For your warrior deck I would suggest cards like Shrink and Enemy Controller. cards like that give your warriors a great chance against stronger monsters. Also using cards like D. D. Warrior and D. D. Warrior Lady are great for dealing with Synchro Monsters.

Oh and the CFD combo. Not bad but then again not great either. If you let your opponent get five monsters on you and they manage to attack with all of them then you are done, especially with the new Synchro monsters and cards like DAD. Also any prepared duelist is also just going to have something like Solemn Judgment or some sort of counter. You would be better off just trying to kill him quick instead of just OTKing him. Though it is a very good combo. I like it a lot, especially since I did the whole Cyber Dragon theme for a while.

Well, I do have a bunch of Synchros. New ones, too, like Black Rose Dragon, and the whole Yusei Starter deck. I'm planning on making a plant deck with synchros and whatnot.

I should put up my deck in the showcase sometime. It's not that bad, really. I'm also know for dueling my friends with random cards I put together at the Hobby Leagues. This is usually the reason I come in third or second. I make random look good and duel good. Fear me!

Lol I Also Have A Cyberdark Deck With The Same Startegie Except So Chimeratech Fortress Dragon But I Do Have Overdragon,Cyber End Dragon,Cyberdark Dragon And Cybertwin Dragon. And Your Right But Try Adding Strong Cards Without Effects Like Cyber End Or Twin Because If You Summon Cyerdark Or Overdragon You Can Use Them As Machine For Overdragon But More Importantly Use Cyber End Dragon With Cyber Darks Effect Giving Him Some Serious Attack.

And Kale Your Right Its Not Particually A Good Stratigie But It Can Sure Hold Its Own.

my staragey is simple summo high powered 4 star monsters to destroy your opponets choice of 4 star cards and then summon anothe until you have a samll army of powerful 4 star monsters ( ocassionally atacking your opponets LP ) then sacrife one or two to summon a more powerful monster with aorun 2000 to 2800 attack points. by this time my opoonet is dependednt on a 4 star monster with high defense points ( mystic elf,big sheild guardna,aqua mador,ECT.) use the big monster ( wat i call the 5 star or up cards ) and destroy their last line of defense then with the reamining 2 to 4 high powered monsters destroy your opponets LP and win the game.

thats pretty much how most of my macthes go and i have cards like trap hole,tribute to the doomed, and swords of light to help me whenever i i dont get any monster for a while
